Denise is an experimental artist working in multiple media. She loves working in oils, acrylics, acrylic pouring, watercolours, mixed media … in fact she loves playing with paint. She is inspired by the world around us, and also loves painting plein air.
Denise has always been inspired by the sea. She loves trying to capture something that is perpetually moving on a flat surface, and still making it look alive. She has recently moved to the south Norfolk coast, and makes the most of this beautiful part of the country.
Denise is also fascinated by landscapes, and the glorious countryside. Travelling around the UK (and the rest of the world when she can) Denise loves to stop and paint the scenery.
Denise’s portfolio is diverse. She runs regular open studio days at her home in St Olaves, Norfolk. She also runs workshops here too. She has been demonstrating to art societies for many years, and has done the same for the SAA, for whom she has demonstrated on Hochanda shopping channel for a variety of painting products.
Denise has also been running painting holidays for the last 12 years, mainly on the Island of Menorca, but also elsewhere.
These unprecedented times have had a silver lining, with the collaboration of the 6 artists of Artist Demo Days. She has learned, laughed and stayed grounded with the help of the other artists.
