Jeremy studied Graphic Design at Southport College of Art, (1972-5) and Illustration at Harrow College of Art, London (1975-8) and has worked as an illustrator of books, magazines, greetings cards, and in advertising. He has demonstrated for St. Cuthbert's Paper Mill, the makers of Bockingford and Saunders Waterford Watercolour papers, and was Senior Tutor and Principal UK Demonstrator for the Michael Wilcox School of Colour.

He has illustrated artwork for numerous writers and entertainers including Rosemary Sutcliff, Joan Aitken, Magnus Pyke, and Harry Enfield. Over a long career in Art, work has also been commissioned through agents by The Royal Horticultural Society, Northern Foods, RCA Records, Bradford Exchange Limited Edition Plates, and American Express Travel Guides amongst many others.

Jeremy is one of the UK’s most popular art teachers, having widely taught art classes for nearly forty years. As the last President of the SAA (Society for All Artists) he is in regular demand as a teacher and demonstrator, and has a Certificate in Education, (Post 16.) Jeremy demonstrates painting at many popular art events and undertakes commissions in all paint media. He travels extensively, teaching workshops and painting holidays, and is a popular tutor onboard P&O cruise ships when time allows. His work has been exhibited and sold widely, including the Royal Watercolour Society Open Exhibition and numerous other open art exhibitions. His work can be seen in Artworld Gallery in Wakefield Ridings Centre. Jeremy has written books on watercolour, pastel, and gouache and has made several instructional DVD’s.
